In the east the valley is limited by a mountain group named Sella, at which ends it is connected to the valleys of Val Badia and Val di Fassa by the Sella Pass and the Gardena pass. The valley Val Gardena includes the three communities of Ortisei (Ladin Urtijëi), S. Cristina and Selva (Sëlva). The magnificent mountain peaks Sassolungo, Sciliar, Cir and Sella are the frame of the of the ski resort Val Gardena / Alpe di Siusi, with 175km of slopes and more than 83 ski lifts. During the summer, the valley Val Gardena is famous for its numerous hiking trails, where you can spend hours, enjoying the direct contact with nature: you will find many beauties of the fauna and flora which can be explored with the help of experts on organized excursions.
